Biomass Power Generation
A large fibre basin covers Northern BC, and with its established forest industry this area is well suited to utilize biomass for power generation. Biomass can be used directly as fuel for power generation or can be converted to biofuel or biogas. Typical methods for conversion of biomass to power include combustion, torrefaction, pyrolysis, and gasification.
